Lissa Anderson
Customer Service Representative
Lissa Anderson joined Lancaster House in October, 2001 as Customer Service Representative. Lissa handles all customer inquiries and is the welcoming voice and face to our customers. Lissa worked previously in the financial services industry and as a Customer Service Representative for a sportswear company. She attended Seneca College in the Legal Assistant program. In her spare time, Lissa likes to bike ride, she enjoys travelling and getting together with friends.
Boris Bohuslawsky
Legal Writer/Editor
Boris Bohuslawsky is an editor and writer at Lancaster House. A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Boris was called to the Ontario bar in 1998, having articled with a civil litigation firm in Toronto. After his call, Boris went on to practise as an associate in a law firm specialising in labour and employment law. Boris’ interests include history, English and Slavic literature, classical music and jazz.
Paula Chapman
Legal Writer/Editor
A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Paula was called to the Ontario bar in 1995, having articled with a labour law firm in Toronto. After her call, Paula worked briefly for Lancaster House in 1996 as a legal editor, then went on to practise as an associate in law firms specialising in labour, employment and human rights law in Toronto, Ottawa and Sudbury. Paula also practiced for several years within the legal clinic system, in the areas of human rights, disability and employment-related litigation. Prior to re-joining Lancaster House recently, she practiced as a partner within her own employment and litigation law firm.
Wendy Cohen
Legal Writer/Editor
Wendy is a legal editor and writer at Lancaster House, updating books and writing for print and on-line publications. A graduate of University of Western Ontario Law School, Wendy was called to the Ontario bar in 1998, and articled and practised with a Hamilton management-side labour and employment law firm. Wendy enjoys spending time with her young family.
Verna Gauvreau
Data Research Clerk
Verna is a Data Research Clerk in the Customer Service Department. Two evenings a week she tutors 2 young students in reading/writing English. Verna is a graduate of Sheridan College with a diploma in Secretarial Studies. Her interests include reading, figure skating, traveling and spending time with family.
Nathifa Grier
Editorial Assistant
Nathifa is responsible for providing assistance to the editorial department. She holds a degree in English from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Lancaster House Nathifa performed legal research for a large publishing company. Her interests include reading, theatre and music.
Tania Kalaboukas
Production Coordinator
As production coordinator, Tania oversees the printing, assembly and fulfillment of Lancaster House's conference materials and legal books. She is also responsible for maintaining and updating the content of the web site. Tania joined Lancaster House after graduating from the Graphic Communications Management program at Ryerson Polytechnic University. Her hobbies include reading and collecting antiques.
Lauren Kravetsky
Conference Developer
Lauren is a conference developer at Lancaster House where she focuses on developing programs and materials for those programs. She also conducts interviews, and occasionally writes, for Lancaster House publications. Lauren completed her undergraduate degree in Food and Nutrition Sciences, at the University of Manitoba. She then spent some time in a genetics research lab, followed by a year in South Korea, teaching English. In 2006, she graduated from University of Victoria's Faculty of Law, and articled at Pitblado LLP, a full-service firm in Winnipeg. Lauren then left the prairies for Toronto and soon after joined Lancaster House. Much of Lauren's free time is spent at jazz and hip-hop shows around town. She also likes potlucks, reading science books, relaxing at the park, and making music with her synthesizer and her friends.
Ema Lekic
Senior Production Coordinator
Ema Lekic is a senior production coordinator at Lancaster House. She studied journalism at the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade before moving to Toronto in 1998. Ema received her BA (Honours) from University of Toronto in 2005. Her focus was on political theory and international relations, as well as art history. Ema joined Lancaster House at the beginning of 2006.
Revekka Maron
Accountant /Administrative Assistant
As Accountant, Revekka is responsible for the maintenance of the financial records as well as several other aspects of the financial management of Lancaster House. Her professional training includes a degree in economics from the Institute of Commerce, St. Petersburg and four years of the CMA program at York University. Revekka‘s interests include travel, hiking and art.
Norma Nixon
Manager, Customer Service & Database
Norma Nixon joined Lancaster House in October 2001 as Manager of Customer Service and the Database. Norma brings extensive experience in dealing with Legal Market databases at both publishing and leading conference development companies. Norma is an experienced Project Manager within the financial market and through her own company. Norma enjoys the theatre, antiquing, music, gardening, traveling and spending good times with friends.
Stephanie Payne
Data Research Clerk/Customer Service Representative
Stephanie Payne joined Lancaster House in 2006 as Customer Service Representative/ Data Research Clerk. Her responsibilities include, handling customer inquires as well as Lancaster House site licences. Stephanie is a recent York University graduate, where she received her Honours B.A. in English and Communications. She is a current member of the Toronto Vegetarian Association's communications board. Her interests include health & environmental issues, advertising and volunteering.
Matthew Powell
Production Assistant
Matthew is part of the Production team at Lancaster House. He is currently enrolled full-time at York University in the fields of History and Education. In his leisure time, Matthew enjoys volunteering at anti-violence rallies, reading literature and history, cycling and playing sports.
Cristina Santos
Production Coordinator/Database Administrator
Cristina’s current role is as a production coordinator, having joined Lancaster house at the beginning of 2006 as a database administrator. Her previous work experience includes coordinating distributions in a client-based marketing company. She graduated from Ryerson University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Management Sciences with a Minor in Marketing. She also received a Certificate in Pattern Drafting for Fashion Design in 2005 and is working on a Certificate in Proficiency in French.
Vanessa Scott
Editorial Coordinator
Vanessa graduated from Trinity College, University of Toronto as an English specialist and Linguistic Anthropology major. Most of her English skills are used to explain what Linguistic Anthropology actually is. Vanessa comes to Lancaster House with a background in Marketing. She is the current President of the Ruskin Literary and Debating Society, Canada’s oldest private debating society. An amateur lepidopterophile, she also has a soft spot for dragonflies and any kind of insect that doesn’t sting or appear unexpectedly out of a drain. Vanessa spends her free time cycling, writing, painting, sewing, and teaching crochet and knitting classes.
Jordan St. John
Data Research Clerk
Jordan is a Data Research Clerk for Lancaster House. Sometimes he is called upon to move particularly heavy pieces of data around the office. In 2004, through no fault of his own, he received a B.A. in English from Mount Allison University. In his spare time Jordan enjoys weightlifting, reading, writing, cooking and pretending that he can play the guitar.
Jennifer Tucker
Conference Coordinator
Jennifer Tucker is a conference coordinator at Lancaster House. She studied Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources at Brock University and Event Management at Niagara College. She was previously employed with Big Brothers Big Sisters as their Special Events Manager. Her interests include volunteering, music, reading and spending time with friends.
Scott Waters
Legal Writer/Editor
After obtaining a B.A. in history at the University of British Columbia and a law degree from the University of Victoria, Scott was called to the B.C. bar in 2004. He worked at a Victoria firm specializing in aboriginal and environmental law before joining Lancaster House in 2007 as a legal writer and editor. Scott’s interests include cities, reading, creative writing, theatre and music.
Paul Wollaston
General Manager
Paul Wollaston is the General Manager at Lancaster House. He has worked for the company in a number of roles, starting as a legal editor in 1996. Paul has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Manitoba and a law degree from Dalhousie University. Paul articled at Gowlings in Toronto in the litigation department and joined Lancaster House shortly after his call to the Ontario Bar. Paul's interests include art, architecture, and politics. Most mornings you can find Paul rowing with his teammates on Lake Ontario. He is also an avid cyclist and takes many of his holidays on his bicycle.
