Susan Arnold is a partner at Heenan Blaikie in Vancouver, where she specializes in all aspects of administrative, labour and employment law, acting for employers, including union and non-union construction contractors, public and private sector employers, in both provincial and federal jurisdictions. She has experience before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Canada Industrial Relations Board, British Columbia Labour Relations Board, British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, and arbitration boards in labour and employment matters. Ms. Arnold is a past President of the Labour Law Subsection of the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association, and was a member of the Committee of Special Advisors to the Government of British Columbia on the Review of the Employment Standards Act. She has also been an Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Law, University of British Columbia, teaching labour, employment and human rights. Susan joined Heenan Blaikie in 1991 after working as an associate in the labour law departments at Jordan & Gall, from 1984 to 1989 and at Blake Cassels and Graydon from 1989 to 1991. |
