Susan Ashley is a member of the Bar of Nova Scotia specializing in labour arbitration and mediation. She is a Vice-Chair of the Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board and past Chair of the Nova Scotia Labour Standards Tribunal. She has taught at Dalhousie Law School and Acadia University, and is former Associate Dean of the Dalhousie Law School. A full-time arbitrator and mediator, she has been involved in grievance and interest arbitration in all four Atlantic provinces and in the federal jurisdiction. Ms. Ashley also has extensive experience with human rights adjudication in both provincial and federal jurisdictions.
