Sarah E. Atkinson is a sole practitioner whose practice focuses on assisting parties to resolve workplace disputes constructively. Sarah conducts investigations into human rights and other workplace issues. She also provides
assessment, facilitation and mediation services for workplace conflict, as well as training on human rights, harassment and other issues in the workplace and on how to conduct workplace investigations. After practising in-house with a union for several years in federal labour relations, Sarah moved to private practice for three years where she focused on representing management in the areas of human rights, labour relations and employment standards. She has worked with a wide range of federally and provincially-regulated organizations, in the private and public sectors. Sarah holds her LL.M in Labour Relations and Employment Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and her Advanced Certificate in Dispute Resolution from York University, and is a member of the ADR and Labour and Employment Law Sections of the Ontario Bar Association, as well as the ADR Institute of Ontario. She is fluently bilingual in English and French, and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1993 and Québec in 1994. |
