| Peter Barnacle practices labour law with Woloshyn & Company in Saskatoon on behalf of trade unions in Saskatchewan. Peter was originally called to the bar in British Columbia and also is a member of the bars in Ontario and Saskatchewan, as well as a solicitor in the United Kingdom. He is active with several international labour organizations and currently is engaged in a legal education and organizing project with the National Organisation of Trade Unions in Uganda. Prior to practicing law, Peter was a union officer with the British Columbia Government Employees’ Union and later Bargaining Unit Chairperson and Chief Negotiator for his local of the British Columbia Teachers Federation. He has also been a research associate at the Industrial Relations Centre at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario; has written several books and numerous articles on domestic and international labour-related topics and has been a freelance author in the United Kingdom and Canada. Peter has been a panelist at many legal conferences on labour issues, including the Calgary Labour Arbitration Conference and other Lancaster House proceedings. |
