Tom Beasley is a Senior Associate Counsel with Coutts Pulver, where he practises all aspects of employment law with a focus on human rights and wrongful dismissal. Prior to joining Coutts Pulver, Tom was in In-House Counsel to the Employment Standards Branch for the Province of British Columbia, as well as In-House Counsel to the British Columbia Human Rights Commission. Over the last twenty-five years, Tom has appeared at all levels of courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and before many administrative tribunals. A major part of his practice involves representing complainants and respondents before the B.C. Human Rights Tribunal and the Canadian Human Rights Commission, in discrimination complaints based on mental disabilities. Tom is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia conferences and at other legal and human resources seminars, with an emphasis on a practical application of the law.
