Pierre Beaulne has been an economist with the Centrale des syndicats du Quebec since 1975. The CSQ is a labour organization which is primarily focused on the fields of education and health services. His main involvement, over the years, has been in centralized or coordinated negotiations in the public sector in Quebec, where he has acted as an advisor on salary issues. He is a graduate of the University of Ottawa (M.A., 1972), and has studied at the doctoral level at the University of Paris IV (01970-1973). Previously, he worked as an analyst at Statistics Canada in the Structural Analysis and Productivity Division from 1972 to 1974.
