Richard Blair is a partner in the labour law firm Ryder Wright Blair & Holmes LLP. He received an LL.B from the University of Toronto in 1986 and has practised labour, employment and administrative law on behalf of trade unions and employees since his call to the Bar in 1988.
Richard appears regularly before the Ontario Public Service Grievance Settlement Board and boards of arbitration, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Workplace Safety Insurance Appeals Tribunal and other employment-related administrative tribunals in both provincial and federal jurisdictions. He also represents trade unions before the courts in matters of judicial review, picketing injunctions, and other matters, and advises and represents individuals in professional discipline and wrongful dismissal cases. |
