Brian Blumenthal is counsel in the Legal Services Branch, Ministry of Labour, for the Government of Ontario. He is responsible for regulatory prosecutions and appeals at all levels of court in Ontario under the Provincial Offences Act for the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Employment Standards Act, 2000. He also represents the Ministry of Labour at administrative hearings before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, at judicial reviews before the Divisional Court and at Coroner's Inquests into the deaths of workers. He provides legal, policy, operational and strategic analysis and advice to senior management on matters affecting the Ministry of Labour.
