Rob Boswell is a partner in the law firm Boswell Chapman in Barrie, Ontario. He was previously a partner in Craig Boswell McDermot. He practises in the field of employment and labour law, with a particular focus on workplace health and safety law, human rights, wrongful dismissal, and disability management. He began his legal career in 1996 as a member of the in-house legal department of General Motors of Canada. From late 1998 until 2003, Rob was employed at a large management-side employment and labour firm in Toronto. He is recognized by the Best Lawyers in Canada under the category of workers' compensation law. He has represented employers in all industry sectors, and also represents employees in employment litigation and human rights matters. Rob was a member of the executive of the workers' compensation section of the Ontario Bar Association from 1999 until 2010, twice serving as the section chair. Rob has chaired several conferences for Lancaster House as well as for the Ontario Bar Association. |
