| Susan Brickell is the Local Coordinator/Bargaining Unit President at the Ontario Nurses Association Local 111. Local 111 comprises approximately 1,600 Registered Nurses at The Scarborough Hospital and at eight sites of the Leisure World Nursing Homes. Susan graduated in Nursing from Centennial College in 1984 and has worked at The Scarborough Hospital since 1985 in various areas including most recently the ER and ICU. Susan has been active within the union since 1986 in various capacities, and has been the Local Coordinator/Bargaining Unit President for her Local since 1997. Susan brings a strong belief in the benefits of cooperation over antagonistic behaviour in labour relations, an approach she has seen followed at The Scarborough Hospital. She is also a strong advocate of continuing education in nursing and labour relations. Susan has two very active teenagers and a very close extended family. |
