Emily Burke is a labour arbitrator and mediator providing dispute resolution services in both the public and private sectors. Initially practising labour law, she served as a Vice-Chair of the British Columbia Labour Relations Board for 9 years, and has been arbitrating for over 10 years. She is presently a Director of the Arbitrators Association of British Columbia and sits on the Joint Committee advising on the Register of Arbitrators under the Labour Relations Code (CAAB). A member of the National Academy of Arbitrators, she has lectured on labour relations in many forums including CLE. Emily received a law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 1981 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1982. |
