EMILY BURKE


 

Emily Burke is a labour arbitrator and mediator providing dispute resolution services in both the public and private
sectors. Emily has been dealing with labour relations matters for close to 30 years. After practising labour law, she served as a Vice-Chair of the British Columbia Labour Relations Board for 9 years, and has been arbitrating for over 15 years. She is presently a Director of the Arbitrators Association of British Columbia and has sat on the Joint Committee advising on the Register of Arbitrators under the B.C. Labour Relations Code (CAAB). A member of the National Academy of Arbitrators, she has lectured on labour relations in many forums including CLE. Emily received a law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 1981 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1982.
