
| | Matthew Certosimo is a partner and Toronto Regional Practice Group Leader of the Labour and Employment Group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Matt advises and acts on behalf of private and public sector employers in labour relations and employment law matters, including in wrongful dismissals, grievance arbitration, collective bargaining, in defence of health and safety charges and in responding to human rights complaints, and on behalf of employees in employment-related litigation. Matt is also co-author of Just Cause: The Law of Summary Dismissal in Canada (Canada Law Book). He is an adjunct professor (Employment Law) at Woodsworth College, University of Toronto, Editor-in-Chief of Executive Employment, a quarterly journal published by Federated Press, and author of Ontario Employment and Labour Law & Commentary, 2006 and 2007/2008 and Federal Employment and Labour Law & Commentary, 2007 and 2008 (both LexisNexis). A frequent speaker at and chair of conferences on labour and employment law, Matt is a regular co-chair of Lancaster House audio conferences.
