Gary Clarke is a partner in the Calgary office of Stikeman Elliott where he counsels employers in regard to employment law, labour relations, human rights and privacy law, including with respect to: employment contracts; policies and post-employment restrictions; recruiting and termination procedures; discipline and grievances; human rights issues; reorganization of the workplace; disability issues; employment standards compliance; privacy issues; and the protection of the employer’s business interests and property. Mr. Clarke works with management and human resource professionals to develop strategies for addressing such issues with an aim to minimizing the risk of litigation and the disruption of the client’s business. Mediation and other alternative dispute resolution approaches are often effectively used to accomplish this end.
