Ray Domeij is a Union Representative in AUPE's Calgary Regional Office. He acts as Union Counsel at Arbitrations and at Labour Board hearings in Southern Alberta. Mr. Domeij became an AUPE Union Representative after being an active member of AUPE, originally with Division 11 and Local 42. As a union member, he served a number of years as a Union Steward, Local and Chapter Executive member, and bargaining committee member. Since joining the staff in 1990, Mr. Domeij has worked in Labour Relations in Edmonton, St. Paul and Grande Prairie, and as part of Special Operations in Edmonton and Calgary as a specialist in disputes and arbitrations preparing and presenting arbitrations as well as appearing before the Labour Relations Board. In addition he has been the union spokesperson on a variety of special projects.
Ray Domeij has negotiated collective agreements in all sectors, prepared and presented numerous arbitration cases, conducted education courses, organized new components and provided general servicing to members. Presently he is the Disputes and Arbitration specialist in the Calgary office of AUPE. |
