BARRY DONG

Barry Dong is an employer-side counsel at Harris & Company. Before joining Harris & Company, he was a partner in the Vancouver office of a large national law firm. He practises exclusively in the areas of labour, employment, human rights and administrative law, representing clients before federal and provincial labour and administrative tribunals, arbitration boards and panels, in court and in collective bargaining. An active part of Barry's practice involves work as counsel in the film and television industry, representing major U.S. and Canadian production companies across Canada. He also represents clients in a number of sectors, including the transportation, technology, construction and service industries. He is often consulted by trade groups, employer organizations and governmental agencies. In addition to his advocacy practice, Barry's representation of clients includes providing practical labour and employment business advice and presenting seminars and training workshops.

Barry received an LL.B. degree from the University of British Columbia in 1979, and was called to the B.C. Bar in 1980. He is recognized as a leading practitioner, frequently recommended, by Lexpert, and is listed in the inaugural U.S. Directory of the Best Lawyers in Canada.
