David Doorey is a Professor of Labour and Employment Law for the School of Human Resource Management at York University. He practiced labour law in British Columbia and Ontario, including as Canadian legal counsel to the United Steelworkers of America before turning to academic life. David is the academic director of the Osgoode Hall Law School's LL.M. Program in Labour and Employment Law, the Articles Editor for the Canadian Labour and Employment Law Journal, and he was awarded the Morley Gunderson Prize in Industrial Relations in 2010 by the University of Toronto’s Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources for contribution to industrial relations. He is also the author of Doorey's Workplace Law Blog. David is a graduate of programs in law and industrial relations from Osgoode Hall Law School (LL.B., Ph.D), London School of Economics (LLM Labour Law), and the University of Toronto (B.A., M.I.R.). |
