Keith Dormond is a Detective in the Vancouver Police Department, and a serving member of the Vancouver Police Department for the last 11 years. Prior to joining the Vancouver Police Department, he earned a Master of Social Work degree and worked as a counsellor in Toronto and Vancouver. Keith has been assigned to the Domestic Violence and Criminal Harassment Unit (DVACH) for the last 5 and a half years, and has received formal training in Domestic Violence, Stalking, Mental illness, Workplace Violence and Threat Assessment & Risk Management, in both Canada and the United States. He has conducted in excess of 300 investigations and threat assessments in relation to incidents of stalking, domestic violence, workplace and school violence, threats to police members, and general violence.
Keith is the current President of the Canadian Association of Threat Assessment Professionals and has chaired and co-chaired five Threat Assessment and Risk Management courses hosted by the Vancouver Police Department. |
