Dufort has been a partner at Heenan Blaikie since 1973, currently working out
of the Ottawa office. His practice focuses on labour and employment law, representing
employers in a broad range of business sectors such as radio and television, aerospace,
and the food industry. He also provides services to numerous manufacturers and
municipalities. He has extensive experience in litigious matters having appeared
before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Canada, the Quebec Court
of Appeal, the Superior Court of Quebec and the Court of Quebec, as well as before
all administrative tribunals in Quebec and at the federal level. In addition,
Mr. Dufort has negotiated many collective agreements related to these areas and
has been involved in pay equity matters before the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.
Mr. Dufort lectured at the MBA programme at HEC Montréal. He is a regular
participant in conferences and seminars covering all aspects of labour and employment
