| Vern Edwards is the Director, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment for the Ontario Federation of Labour. Vern has been at the OFL for 18 years. Previously, he served as the National Representative, Health and Safety for the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of Canada.
Vern represented the OFL on the ergonomic working group of the Ontario Minister of Labour’s Ergonomic Sub-Committee, and is currently the Labour Co-Chair on the Minister of Labour’s Health and Safety Advisory Committee for Health Care. He was also appointed as a labour representative on the Expert Advisory Panel reviewing On-tario’s prevention and enforcement systems. Vern completed the Occupational Health and Safety Program at Ryer-son Polytechnical Institute in 1987, as well as the certificate program in Labour Studies at George Brown College in 1988. |
