| Dr. Paul Farnan is a partner with HealthQuest Occupational Health Corporation where he acts as consultant to many organizations by providing comprehensive medical assessments and treatment planning for individuals who have complex disability issues, substance use disorders, chronic pain and a variety of psychological and medical conditions. He holds additional certification in Addiction Medicine with both the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the Canadian Society of Addiction Medicine. He is certified as a Medical Review Officer by the American Association of Medical Review Officers. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Family Practice at the University of British Columbia. For almost six years he was the Executive Director of the Physician Health Program of British Columbia, which involves assessment of and treatment planning for physicians who have problems related to substance use disorders, and a variety of complex psychological and medical conditions. Dr. Farnan has been a regular presenter at workshops, conventions and conferences, on topics related to substance use disorders and disability management. |
