Since August 2007 Diane Gee has been the Vice-President, Legal Counsel, Labour and Human Resources at Loblaw Companies Ltd. Loblaws has over 135,000 employees nationally of whom approximately 85,000 are unionized. In her role at Loblaws, Diane leads a team of lawyers who serve the HR and Labour functions nationally and provide strategic and day-to-day support.

Diane was called to the Ontario Bar in 1986. She practiced first at a full-size national law firm and then in 1988 she commenced practicing labour and employment law at a boutique firm, before being appointed in 1994 to the Ontario Labour Relations Board as a Vice-Chair. She was later appointed to the Construction Division of the OLRB and acted as an arbitrator in respect of construction industry grievances. During this time Diane also acted as a private arbitrator. Diane joined Heenan Blaikie in 2002 and recommenced the practice of employment and labour law. She became a partner in 2004, acting principally on behalf of large national corporations in provincial and federal matters. Diane has taught an Advanced Course in Labour Relations at the Master of Law Program at the University of Toronto and Labour Relations Law at the University of Toronto Centre for Industrial Relations and Human Resources.
