Gleason is a partner at the Ottawa offices of Ogilvy Renault practising in the
area of management labour relations and employment law, acting for both national
and local clients. She is fluently bilingual and often pleads in French. Ms. Gleason
regularly represents employers in both the federal and provincial jurisdictions
in connection with collective bargaining, certification matters, sale of a business
and single employer claims, complaints of unfair labour practices, grievance arbitration,
unjust and wrongful dismissal complaints and actions, human rights issues, occupational
health and safety, and employment standards matters. She also negotiates and drafts
executive employment contracts, termination agreements and other agreements pertaining
to executive compensation. Ms. Gleason regularly provides proactive advice to
clients on the full range of labour and employment law issues, including privacy
issues. Ms. Gleason appears before grievance arbitrators, labour boards, other
administrative tribunals and the courts, including both the Federal and Ontario
courts, where she has handled numerous judicial review applications. |
