KAYE JOACHIM


 

 

Kaye Joachim has been a full-time Vice-Chair of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario since 2007 and a part-time member since 2005. Previously, she served as a Vice-Chair at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, as an arbitrator and mediator at the Ontario Financial Services Commission and as a member of the Academic Appeals Board of the University of Toronto. Ms. Joachim has acted as in-house counsel to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal and to the Ontario Human Rights Commission. She has also practiced as a labour arbitrator and mediator. She served as Assistant Dean, Graduate Studies, at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, where she was responsible for the graduate law program and also taught Labour and Employment Law for five years.

Ms. Joachim is a graduate of the Faculty of Law at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1987. She earned a LL.M. in labour and human rights law from the University of Toronto in 1997.
