| Barbara Johnston is a partner and head of the Labour and Employment Group in the Calgary office of Stikeman Elliott LLP where she represents employers. Ms. Johnston practices Labour, Employment, Human Rights and Privacy Law. Ms. Johnston graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics in 1990 and from Queen's University with an L.L.B. in 1993. In 1999, Ms. Johnston earned her certified human resource professional (CHRP) designation. Ms. Johnston has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Court of Queen's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, and boards of arbitration. Ms. Johnston is a member of the executive of the Privacy Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association (Southern Alberta) and is the former Chair of both the Labour and Employment Law and the Constitutional Law Subsections of the Canadian Bar Association (Southern Alberta). |
