Michael Kennedy is a partner with the law firm of Hicks Morley where he represents a range of employers from large private sector employers to a wide variety of public sector employers such as universities and municipalities. He regularly advises on labour and employment matters including labour arbitrations, Ontario Labour Relations Board proceedings, civil litigation, including wrongful dismissal claims, and occupational health and safety issues. Michael has extensive experience in arguing Weber issues before the courts, including the often cited Court of Appeal decision in Piko v. The Bay. Michael is also Co-Chair of the firm’s Municipal practice and specializes in providing advice to municipalities on labour and employment matters. |
