
| | Mary Anne Kuntz is a Senior Grievance Officer and has been with OPSEU’s Grievance Department since 1988. She is currently working at the provincial Head Office where she carries a mixed assignment of litigation and mediation of grievances arising from the Liquor Board Employees Division and the Community College Sector. Ms. Kuntz also acts for members of the Union’s Health Professionals Division when they require representation on matters arising from Regulated Health Professions legislation. She has presented cases in front of most Ontario Labour Tribunals. Between 1998-2000, she coordinated the Union side of the OPS Backlog Project during which the parties resolved more than 13,000 grievances. Prior to joining OPSEU, Ms. Kuntz was employed as a Protection Worker with Waterloo Region Children’s Aid Society. Originally a nurse by profession, Ms. Kuntz returned to university full-time in 1980, obtaining an undergraduate degree in 1982 and a Masters degree in Social Work in 1985. |
