| Heather Laing is a conflict management and dispute resolution professional, acting as Chartered Arbitrator and Chartered Mediator for Sanlaing Dispute Resolution Ltd. in Vancouver. She provides arbitration, mediation, organizational ombudsman, fact-finding, investigation, and facilitation services. Among her professional experiences are: labour arbitrator with extensive experience in British Columbia and Ontario; dispute resolution professional acting as a corporate ombudsman, a mediator of numerous labour relations, wrongful dismissal, harassment, commercial, partnership, strata corporation, and personal injury disputes; and former CEO and Registrar of the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C., the professional regulating body for dentists and certified dental assistants in B.C.
Heather is a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP). She is a past President of the Arbitrators Association of B.C. as well as a member of the Civil Roster of Mediate BC; the BC Arbitration and Mediation Institute, with designation as a Chartered Arbitrator and as a Chartered Mediator; the BC Register of Arbitrators for standard and expedited arbitration; and the BCICAC Mediation Panel and Arbitration Panel. She has a law degree from Queen's University and was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1982 and the Law Society of B.C. in 1991. |
