| Cherie Langlois-Klassen is a Labour Relations Officer with the United Nurses of Alberta (UNA), where she advocates for the rights of Alberta nurses. Cherie previously practised union-side labour law as an associate with the law firm of Blair Chahley Seveny in Edmonton. Currently, she acts as counsel before arbitration panels, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, and professional discipline tribunals. Prior to going to law school Cherie was active in the international human rights community. In 2008, she worked with the Alberta Federation of Labour as its Political Action Coordinator, and she continues to be active with the AFL on its Women’s Committee. She also serves as co-chair of Public Interest Alberta’s task force on Childcare. Cherie has a Master of Science degree from the University of Alberta (1999), and a law degree (2006) from the same university.
