Deborah Leighton, an arbitrator and mediator, is an adjunct professor and research associate at the Queen’s
University School of Industrial Relations. Before joining the school, she was a practising lawyer.

Her public appointments include vice-chair, Ontario Public Service Grievance Board; adjudicator, Board of Inquiry of the Human Rights Commission; vice-chair, Ontario Grievance Settlement Board; third-party neutral, Ontario Education Relations Commission; and adjudicator and referee, Office of Adjudication, Ontario Employment.
