Brian Loewen is Senior Counsel in the Legal Services Branch of the Ontario Ministry of Government Services. He appears before a variety of employment and labour-related tribunals, including the Grievance Settlement Board, Public Service Grievance Board and Ontario Labour Relations Board. Brian also provides advice to Ministry clients on a wide array of labour and employment issues including collective bargaining, collective agreement interpretation, dismissals, discipline, innocent absenteeism, workplace health and safety, human rights, disability management, privacy, labour and employment relations. Brian received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Studies in 1985 from Queens’ University and an LL.B from Dalhousie University in 1988. He was called to the Ontario bar in 1990.
