Elizabeth MacPherson has been Chair of the Canada Industrial Relations Board since January 1, 2008, after serving as the Director General of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service since April 1999. Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Industrial Relations from McGill University and an LL.B. and LL.M. from the University of Ottawa. She has been a practising mediator in the labour relations field since 1978, and served as Executive Director and General Counsel of the Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal from 1994 to 1999.
