
| | Peter McLellan is a partner with Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales in Halifax. Peter has practised for more than 25 years and is a member of both the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Bars. With a focus on labour and employment law, and particularly on employment benefits, Peter represents many non-union employers, and frequently appears before labour boards and labour standards tribunals in matters relating to unions. As an advocate in the courts, Peter has represented clients before the Supreme Court of Canada on a variety of labour matters. He has extensive experience in negotiating and interpreting collective agreements; strategizing on labour relations and human rights cases; drafting policies and procedures; advising on workplace manuals, and on pay and employment equity issues, and representing clients in arbitration proceedings. Additionally, Peter has developed an extensive administrative law practise dealing with pensions, employment law and related subjects. |
