David
McPhillips is an active arbitrator and mediator with a law practise that has a special interest in labour and employment law. He arbitrates in a wide variety of industries, including
construction, highways, education (elementary, secondary, and post-secondary),
health care, manufacturing, mining, hotels, restaurants, forestry, transit, transportation,
entertainment, airlines, computer, food processing, television and radio, gaming,
chemical, cement, insurance, retail, recreation, maritime, newspapers, and winery
and brewery, as well as provincial and municipal government services. Between
1975 and 2002, David taught courses at U.B.C. in labour relations, labour and
employment law, collective bargaining, negotiations, and contract administration.
David was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1975. |
