Joy Noonan is a mediator, arbitrator and workplace investigator with Aptus Conflict Solutions Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario. As a Chartered Mediator with the ADR Institute of Canada, she mediates and/or arbitrates a variety of cases, including human rights issues, employment law, and labour and commercial matters. In addition to mediation and arbitration work, Joy is also regularly retained to conduct and/or oversee workplace investigations involving issues such as conflicts of interest, intimidation and abuse of power, senior level mismanagement issues, and all forms of harassment.

Prior to shifting her law practice to that of a full-time neutral, Joy acted as lead counsel and advocate at all levels of the Ontario and Federal court systems, focusing on administrative law, employment law and human rights issues, as well as external counsel for the Canadian Human Rights Commission. Joy regularly lectures on human rights and employment-related issues. Joy completed her LL.M. (ADR) at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2011, her LL.B. at Dalhousie University in 1989 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1991.
