| Mary Porjes practices exclusively in the field of employment law, acting for both employers, and employees with emphasis on the senior management and executive level. Mary has advised on issues relating to dismissals, employment contracts, golden parachutes, corporate restructuring and downsizings, human rights and discrimination claims, employment standards and workplace policies. She has worked as an independent investigator in sexual harassment and discrimination matters. She also has extensive experience advising executives on employment contracts, termination arrangements, exit strategies, constructive dismissal and sexual harassment claims. Mary is a frequent speaker at seminars for lawyers, senior managers, human recourses and relocation professional and client groups on a wide range of workplace issues. She has written numerous papers on legal and practical aspects of employment issues. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto and was called to Ontario Bar in 1978. |
