| Sheri Price practices law at the firm Price Watts where she restricts her practice to labour, employment, human rights and disability law on behalf of trade unions and individuals. Ms Price is counsel to a number of trade unions, particularly in the industrial sector, and regularly appears on their behalf before boards of arbitration, labour boards and other administrative tribunals and the courts. She also conducts collective bargaining on behalf of trade unions.
Ms Price is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and also holds a Master of Laws degree in Labour Law from the University of Toronto. In addition, Ms Price was awarded a scholarship to study law at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa where she undertook primary research on compliance with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act among employers of domestic workers in that country. Ms Price has received numerous academic awards and scholarships from the University of Toronto Law School, Osgoode Hall Law School and Acadia University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a University Scholar. Ms Price is frequently invited to develop and present seminars to trade union leaders and others on labour law and human rights topics. Ms Price is a past director of a homeless shelter in Toronto and currently volunteers with St Christopher House in Toronto in its Financial Advocacy and Problem-Solving Program. |
