SIMON RENOUF


Simon Renouf

 

 

Simon Renouf practises law in Edmonton and teaches Labour Law at the University of Alberta. He represents unions and employees before labour relations boards and arbitrators and at all levels of court, and also practises criminal law. Before becoming a lawyer, Simon was a union representative, serving as a staff member with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) from 1974 to 1978, and was executive director of United Nurses of Alberta (UNA) from 1979 to 1985. Simon was an elected Bencher of the Law Society of Alberta for 4 years. Simon's publications include "One More Battle to Fight: Trade Union Rights and Freedom of Association in Canada" (Alberta Law Review,1989). Simon received his B.A. from the University of Toronto and his LL.B. from the University of Alberta. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2000.
