Terry Roane, Q.C. is a partner in the Halifax offices of the firm Cox & Palmer. She practises labour and employment law and is recognized as a specialist in the field. Terry acts as counsel for a variety of large and small businesses, public sector clients, unions and individual complainants and plaintiffs. She presents cases to arbitration boards (sitting as an arbitrator from time to time), to Labour Relations Boards, the Labour Standards Tribunal, Boards of Inquiry and the Courts at both the provincial and federal level. She has served in a variety of volunteer capacities and in the past has chaired the Labour Relations Committee of the Halifax Board of Trade. As well, she has chaired and presented briefs to government relating to (1) Trade Union Act Review; (2) Pay Equity – Private Sector Impact; and (3) Workers' Compensation.
