Dan Scott is a partner at the law firm Seveny Scott, where he advises and represents unions before the Alberta and British Columbia labour relations boards, arbitrators, and the courts. Dan also advises and represents individual employees in all aspects of employment law, including the duty to accommodate, and maintains a significant civil litigation practice related to his labour and employment practice. He has appeared as counsel in the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Dan teaches employment law at the University of Alberta Law School, and recently received the Sessional Teaching Excellence Award from the Faculty of Law. He has presented and written on a variety of labour relations, employment law, human rights, and privacy topics. |
