Garth Smorang practises labour relations and employment law at Myers Weinberg in Winnipeg. He represents a wide variety of public and private sector unions and their members before arbitration boards in grievance and
interest arbitrations. He also appears before the Manitoba Labour Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, and in the Manitoba courts.
Garth assists unions during organizing, with the application and interpretation of collective agreements, and work-place rules and policies, and with drafting and negotiating collective agreement language. He provides advice con-cerning human rights legislation, employment standards, workers’ compensation, disability and insurance plans, privacy legislation and workplace health and safety.
