Stewart is an arbitrator and mediator who began her practice in 1988. In 1989
she was appointed Vice-Chair of the Crown Employees Grievance Settlement Board,
and in 2001 was appointed as the Chair. She serves as a permanent arbitrator under
a number of collective agreements in both provincial and federal jurisdictions.
Ms. Stewart is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators, is a former Chair
of the Labour Section of the Ontario Bar Association and has served as a member
of the executive of the Ontario Labour Management Arbitrators' Association. She
attended law school at Queen's University and was called to the bar in 1981. |
