| Marino Sveinson is a lawyer at the firm Roper Greyell in Vancouver. He provides strategic advice and representation with respect to all stages of workplace matters in unionized and non-unionized workplaces. He acts for both employers and employees/executives with respect to contract terms, termination rights and obligations and wrongful dismissal disputes. Marino has special focuses on workplace human rights and privacy issues. He has represented clients at all levels of the courts in B.C., labour arbitrations, the Human Rights Tribunal, and the Labour Relations Board. He practised labour and employment law at a large national firm in Vancouver before joining Greyell·MacPhail in early 2002, the predecessor to Roper Greyell. He has been co-chair of the Human Rights Continuing Legal Education course (B.C.) since 2002 and was past co-chair of the Human Rights Section of the Canadian Bar Association (B.C.). Marino received a Bachelor of Arts degree (Psychology) from the University of British Columbia and a law degree from the University of Toronto before being called to the Bar in B.C. in 2000.
