Wayne Thistle, Q.C. is a principal with Innovative Dispute Resolutions Inc. which operates the Dispute Resolution Centre in St. John's, Newfoundland. Wayne has extensive experience in labour and employment matters and has served as arbitrator and mediator in many complex and multi-party disputes throughout Canada. He has also been an adjudicator with the Human Rights Commission in Newfoundland and Labrador. During most of his career, Wayne has been with Memorial University of Newfoundland where he has served as Vice-President (Administration and Finance) and Legal Counsel. Currently, Wayne devotes himself full-time to the area of dispute resolution, and for the past three years he has been selected by his peers to be included in editions of The Best Lawyers in Canada in the specialty of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
