Kim Thorne is a partner
in the law firm Roper Greyell in Vancouver where he represents employers in all
aspects of federal and provincial employment and labour matters, including collective
agreement negotiations, arbitration hearings, labour board hearings and court
proceedings related to employment and labour matters. He advises employers and
appears on their behalf with respect to proceedings under human rights legislation
and wrongful dismissal actions. Mr. Thorne is a member of the British Columbia
Human Resources Management Association, the Vancouver Board of Trade and the Labour
and Employment section of the Canadian Bar Association. He regularly speaks to
employer groups on labour related matters and is a lecturer at Continuing Legal
Education courses on employment and labour issues. He was called to the British
Columbia Bar in 1988. |
