Kimberley Turner is a partner with Pink Breen Larkin in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Kimberly practices in the areas of professional regulation and labour law and she represents unions. She has been a member of the Nova Scotia Bar since 1985, and a member of the Prince Edward Island Bar since 1991. Kim was awarded her Queen’s Counsel in 2002.
Kim is a frequent lecturer and instructor on matters involving labour and employment law, professional regulation, governance, and advocacy skills. In addition to a busy labour law practice, Kim is committed to community work and volunteer activities both within and without the legal community. Kim is currently a member of the Nova Scotia Elections Commission, the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society Legal Ethics Committee, the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society Bar Exam Screening Committee and on the Advisory Committee for the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society’s “Futures Project”. She is a former president of the Canadian Unitarian Council and former Chair of World Religions Canada, a coalition of National Religious leaders from across Canada. Kim is also a former member of the Charities Advisory Committee, a committee providing advice to the Minister of Revenue with respect to matters relating to Charities in Canada. |
