GEORGINA WATTS

Georgina Watts is a partner in Price Watts where she practices labour, employment, human rights and disability law on behalf of trade unions and individuals. In addition to representing trade unions before various adjudicative bodies and in collective bargaining, Ms Watts regularly acts as a union nominee. She also draws upon her extensive experience in regularly conducting educational seminars for union representatives and stewards. Since her call to the bar, Ms Watts has represented trade unions both in private practice and as Senior Legal Counsel to the largest private sector union in Ontario. As head of the in-house legal department for UFCW 175/633, where she worked for 12 years, Ms Watts regularly appeared before arbitrators and arbitration boards, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the courts. She also mentored other lawyers in the department and advised the Union on collective bargaining matters.

Georgina Watts is a graduate of University of Ottawa Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992. Ms Watts has served as co-chair of the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Six Minute Labour Lawyer for the past six years. Georgina plays entirely too much hockey and loves to run and ski.
