
| | Graham Williamson is a union-side labour lawyer at Koskie Minsky who represents construction and industrial trade unions before administrative tribunals, arbitration boards and at the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Graham represents trade unions and employees in proceedings involving the acquisition and preservation of bargaining rights, unfair labour practice complaints, discipline and discharge grievances arising under collective agreements, and applications for judicial review in the Ontario Superior Court. He provides assistance and advice to unions during strikes, and has appeared in defence of applications to enjoin lawful picketing.
Having a particular interest in workplace safety, Graham regularly represents trade unions and employees in Occupational Health and Safety proceedings to protect the right of workers to refuse unsafe work, and in the appeal of Ministry of Labour orders. Graham has extensive experience assisting injured workers and has appeared at all levels of appellate review within the Workplace Safety and Insurance appeals system. He also represents individuals in claims for employment-related benefits, including Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance benefits, as well as in respect of Employment Standards and Human Rights complaints.
Graham regularly contributes to topical client seminars and legal education programmes. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and the Ontario Bar Association. |
