| Kate Young has practised as a lawyer for over 30 years in the areas of employment, labour, discrimination, disability and human rights law. She now works exclusively as an arbitrator, and mediator, and in that capacity assists parties in resolving disputes under collective agreements, including harassment, human rights and dysfunctional workplace complaints. She served as a Vice-Chair at the Labour Relations Board from 1992 to 1997, and over the last 15 years has conducted numerous mediations in collective agreement, human rights, small claims and motor vehicle accident disputes. She is designated as a civil mediator with the British Columbia Mediator Roster Society, is chartered as a mediator by the British Columbia Arbitration and Mediation Institute, and is listed as an ADR specialist with the ADR Institute of Canada.
