Do the provisions in your collective agreement, or in employment policies, violate human rights and privacy laws? This session will examine language governing matters such as sick leave, deemed termination, last chance agreements, accrual of benefits, seniority, job security and other common terms. What statutory provisions will be "read in" to your collective agreements and policies? In unionized environments, what provisions should never be included in the collective agreement? In policies?
Workshop participants will be able to bring their own employee handbooks and collective agreements to the session. |
